Dubrovnik: GCC Secretary-General Jassem Mohammed Al Budaiwi held discussions with European Commissioner for Mediterranean Affairs, Dubravka Suica, on the sidelines of the Dubrovnik Forum in Croatia. The dialogue centered on the latest developments in the Free Trade Agreement negotiations between the GCC and the EU, along with a proposal for a joint conference concentrating on energy security. This conference aims to include representatives from both the public and private sectors of the GCC and EU.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting also involved a review of cooperation pathways between the GCC and the European Union. The officials exchanged views on regional and international developments, underlining the necessity for ongoing coordination and collaboration. They emphasized intensifying efforts to bolster security, stability, and development within the region and globally.
