Doha: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli raids on various areas in Syria. In a statement Thursday, the Council's Secretary-General, Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, underlined that these raids constitute a new episode in a series of attempts by the Israeli occupation forces to undermine and destabilize regional and international security, stressing the importance of respecting Syria's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

According to Qatar News Agency, the statement added that the international community's silence regarding the repeated Israeli attacks encourages their continuation, calling for the need to take concrete steps to stop them, in the interest of security and peace in the region.
