Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi strongly condemned the decision by Israeli occupation forces to confiscate the land of the UNRWA headquarters in occupied Jerusalem. In a statement, the GCC Secretary-General considered the decision a serious violation of international covenants and United Nations resolutions, threatening to undermine the agency's efforts to provide essential services to Palestinian refugees. Albudaiwi emphasized the Council's support for UNRWA's vital role in providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinian refugees, calling on the international community to take responsibility in compelling the Israeli occupation forces to reverse this decision, thereby enabling the agency to effectively perform its duties, and ensuring the protection of its facilities and staff, as well as halting all attacks and illegal practices carried out by the occupation forces against the agency.
