New York, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Jagan Chapagain, Secretary General and CEO of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), on the sidelines of his participation in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The GCC Secretary General noted that the GCC states continuously strive to support and enhance cooperative and partnership relations with regional and international organisations that are active in humanitarian and relief work. The meeting discussed means to strengthen the cooperative relationship between the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the GCC states, as well as addressing key health issues and challenges on both regional and international fronts.
