Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi underlined the importance of strengthening joint economic and development action among GCC member states. He stressed the need to maintain close communication with member states and to further develop mechanisms that align with the aspirations of the GCC countries to achieve greater joint accomplishments, ultimately advancing Gulf economic unity.
According to Qatar News Agency, this emphasis on collaboration came during a meeting held Monday in Riyadh by the GCC Assistant Secretariat General for Economic and Development Affairs. The meeting reviewed the Assistant Secretariat's 2025 achievements report, including initiatives and programs implemented across the economic and development sectors, as well as the 2026 action plan and objectives aimed at enhancing joint Gulf cooperation and achieving the desired goals.
