GCC Secretary-General Urges Action for Stability in Gaza During European Parliament Meeting

Brussels: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi has stressed the need to address and enhance stability and security in the region, particularly the dangerous and tragic situation in the Gaza Strip. This statement was made during his meeting with a delegation from the European Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee, led by David McAllister.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on joint issues and the progress of cooperation between the GCC and the European Union. Discussions also centered around ways to enhance the strategic partnership between the two sides across various fields. Additionally, regional and international issues of common interest were on the agenda.

The GCC Secretary-General emphasized the importance of cooperation and joint coordination to achieve an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. He highlighted the need to implement all relevant UN and international resolutions, which he believes will contribute to preserving innocent lives and ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid.
