Cairo: The Generation Amazing Foundation was awarded the Excellence in Sports Award during the second Regional Sustainable Development Forum 2025, held in Cairo. Organized by Aspire Community Transformation, affiliated with Aspire Consulting International, and hosted at Heliopolis University for Sustainable Development, the forum provided a regional platform to showcase pioneering initiatives that advance sustainable development across the Middle East and North Africa. The foundation's leading role in promoting sport for development was highlighted as part of these efforts.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the forum, several institutions and leaders were recognized for their impactful contributions to sustainable development. The Generation Amazing Foundation received the award for its active role in promoting community development through sports initiatives.

The recognition underscores the growing regional influence of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 legacy and reinforces the foundation's position as a model for scalable, impactful community development. Executive Director of the foundation, Nasser Al Khori, expressed pride in the award, stating that the prize reflects the ongoing legacy of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and demonstrates the power of sport to create meaningful change in communities.

He added that the award serves as a strong incentive to expand the foundation's programs and partnerships, ensuring more safe, inclusive opportunities for youth in the region and enabling them to benefit from sports-for-development initiatives. Since its launch, the Generation Amazing Foundation has reached over one million beneficiaries in 75 countries, using football and other sports to develop essential life skills, including communication, leadership, teamwork, and empathy, while promoting inclusion, gender equality, and environmental sustainability.

The foundation's work aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Qatar National Vision 2030, establishing it as a regional benchmark for initiatives that focus on lasting social impact.
