German Stand for Startups Opens at Web Summit Qatar 2026

Doha: The German stand for startups was inaugurated on Monday at Web Summit Qatar 2026, with the participation of over 200 German founders, investors, and decision-makers. The inauguration was attended by ministers and officials from Qatar and Germany, aiming to enhance economic and tech collaboration with entrepreneurs in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the German delegation includes CEOs and representatives from sectors such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, deep technology, and industrial innovation. The stand offers a program with speeches, discussions, and sessions to facilitate collaboration between German innovators and Qatar's tech ecosystem.

North Rhine-Westphalia participates as Guest of Honor, represented by leaders from its Ministry of Economic Affairs, alongside German ministers and officials. The stand is supported by multiple German government agencies, including the Ministry of Economic Affairs of North Rhine-Westphalia, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and institutions like the Max Planck Institute and RWE AG.

The German Federal Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses has opened a regional office in Doha to support German firms in the GCC, highlighting Qatar as a strategic partner for German innovation globally.
