Germany’s Exports Decline by 0.1% Year-on-Year in January

Berlin: Germany's exports fell by 0.1% year-on-year in January, data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) showed on Monday.

According to Qatar News Agency, German exported goods to the value of 129.2 billion euros, down 2.5% compared to December 2024. Destatis also reported that Germany imported goods to the value of 113.1 billion euros in January, up 1.2% from the previous month and 8.7% on the same month a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the foreign trade balance showed a surplus of 16.0 billion euros in January, down from 20.7 billion euros in December 2024, and down from 25.3 billion euros in January 2024.
