Berlin: The Federal Statistical Office confirmed that Germany's inflation rate, measured by the annual change in the consumer price index, stood at 2.1 percent in January 2026, while prices rose by 0.1 percent on a monthly basis compared with December 2025.
According to Qatar News Agency, the office also stated that the harmonized consumer price index recorded an annual increase of 2.1 percent compared with the same month last year, and declined by 0.1 percent on a monthly basis, confirming the preliminary results.
With regard to energy, it indicated that energy prices fell by 1.7 percent on an annual basis, while the rise in services prices remained a key factor supporting the inflation rate.
