Doha: Gold prices in the Qatari market rose by 11.15 percent during the current week, reaching USD 5,539.39000 per ounce on Thursday, according to data released by Qatar National Bank (QNB).
According to Qatar News Agency, the bank's data showed that the price of gold per ounce increased from USD 4,983.29000 to its level last Sunday.
At the same time, prices of other precious metals showed mixed performance on a weekly basis. Silver prices increased by 13.87 percent to USD 117.28600 per ounce, compared to USD 102.99870 at the beginning of the week, while platinum prices declined by 1.14 percent to reach USD 2,745.80 per ounce, down from USD 2,777.70 last Sunday.
