Doha: Google Chrome is testing a new AI-powered feature designed to enhance online shopping safety and user experience. Called "Store reviews," this feature will provide users with AI-generated summaries of reviews from various independent platforms, including Trustpilot, ScamAdvisor, and Google. According to Qatar News Agency, when encountering an unfamiliar online store, users will be able to access this feature through the "View page information" option in the address bar. By clicking on the "Store review" option, users can view an AI-generated summary of reviews from these platforms, offering insights into the store's reputation and helping them make informed decisions about whether to proceed with their shopping. This feature aims to protect users from potential scams and low-quality shopping experiences by providing a quick and easy way to assess the trustworthiness of online stores. The integration of AI into this feature aligns with Google Chrome's strategy to leverage AI capabilities to streamline access to critical information and enhance user experience.
