Doha: HE Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) and Chairman of Qatar Investment Authority Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani met on Sunday with HE Minister of Finance and National Revenue of Canada Francois-Philippe Champagne, during the latter's visit to Doha. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries in banking and finance and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions aimed at enhancing the financial and economic ties between Qatar and Canada. Both parties expressed mutual interest in exploring potential areas for collaboration within the banking and finance sectors, which could benefit both nations.

The meeting underlined the importance of international cooperation in addressing financial challenges and leveraging opportunities. The dialogue between Sheikh Bandar and Minister Champagne is expected to pave the way for future partnerships that could contribute positively to the economic landscapes of both Qatar and Canada.
