GRSIA Launches ‘Daman’ to Empower Retirees and Enhance Social Insurance Services

Doha: Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) launched its new corporate identity and strategy, named "Daman."

According to Qatar News Agency, the launch ceremony was attended by ministers, high-ranking officials, and representatives from both public and private sectors. This initiative is part of GRSIA's efforts to promote interdependence, sustainability, and enhance the quality of life, aligning with the nation's goal of building a stable and enduring community.

During the ceremony, HE Director-General of GRSIA Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi stated that the new identity marks a significant change in social insurance in the nation. He emphasized that "Daman" represents more than just a new name, but a true reflection of the authority's mission in citizens' lives.

Al Hammadi explained that the transition is not merely about changing identity or form but signifies a new phase of insurance protection in Qatar. The aim is to transform the vision into tangible benefits for every citizen and family, contributing to a sustainable future.

He further elaborated that GRSIA's role starts from the first day of employment, continuing to support citizens throughout their careers and even after retirement, ensuring their present and future are secure.

The new strategy is built around four key themes: trust, transparency, care, and sustainability. GRSIA positions itself as a partner in citizens' lives, not just an administrative entity.

Al Hammadi reiterated the authority's dedication to strengthening social insurance systems for a sustainable future. The new identity introduces advanced digital services, including the AI virtual assistant "Sara," a Digital-Contact Center for live video services, and a comprehensive modern website.

Additionally, GRSIA announced the "Al Safwa" Program under the new identity, offering retirees exclusive benefits and privileges. This program complements Daman's role in supporting subscribers and their families post-retirement, with the introduction of the "Daman Card" for easy access to benefits.

The launch event featured an exhibition showcasing these new services, reinforcing that GRSIA's transition is a substantive change meeting the needs of subscribers, retirees, and staff, while promoting their aspirations.
