Heads of Arab Federations Commend Qatar’s Organization of World Table Tennis Championships

Doha: The heads of the Arab table tennis federations and a number of officials have praised Qatar's organization of the World Table Tennis Championships, which is being hosted by the State of Qatar until May 25 at the Lusail and Qatar University arenas, with the participation of 640 players representing 127 countries. According to Qatar News Agency, Algerian Mounir Bessah, the WTT championships director, described the current atmosphere at the Lusail Hall as amazing, saying that the hall is hosting strong competitions at the highest level, which reflects the significant development the game is witnessing on both the technical and organizational levels. He expected the Lusail Hall to be packed with fans over the next two days, given the importance of the crucial matches to be held in the final rounds and the strength of the participating players. This promises to be an exceptional sporting spectacle, with everyone striving to win and make great strides forward, he said, while noting the excellent organization and extensive facilities provided by the local organizing committee. He praised the significant role played by the Qatar Table Tennis Federation in the success of the tournament, commending the general atmosphere in Doha and noting that the Qatar University hall was also of high quality, contributing to a unique experience for players and fans. For his part, Radwan Al-Sharif, the president of the Palestinian table tennis federation, hailed Qatar's distinguished organization of the World Table Tennis Championships, highlighting Qatar's creativity in organizing the World Championships, both administratively and technically. This confirms Qatar's high professionalism in organizing major sporting events, positioning it as a distinctive sporting destination and a pioneer in making a difference at global events, he added. He also praised the role of Khalil Al Mohannadi, President of the Qatar Table Tennis Association and the Arab and Asian Federations, as well as First Vice President of the International Table T ennis Federation, who will run for the international federation elections with great confidence, supported by his extensive track record and significant achievements in developing and modernizing the game. Ismail Zoda Mirzo, the president of the Tajikistan table tennis federation, lauded the efforts of Khalil Al Mohannadi in developing the game and working to spread it throughout Asia, emphasizing his clear and noticeable role in serving the continent over the past years. Jordanian table tennis expert Ammar Al Kurdi commended the impressive success of Qatar's organization of the World Table Tennis Championships, stressing that Qatar represented every Arab who has a strong sense of pride in what its local table tennis federation, headed by Khalil bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi, and the State of Qatar have achieved in this championship, which is approaching its final stage and has now become one of the historic and exceptional editions in the annals of the World Championship.
