Doha: Several heads of Arab and international table tennis federations commended Qatar's outstanding efforts in organizing the 2025 ITTF World Table Tennis Championships, highlighting the country's exceptional organizational capabilities that continue to ensure the event's resounding success.
According to Qatar News Agency, the President of the Iraqi Table Tennis Federation, Harda Raouf Baram, stated that this level of organizational excellence is no surprise from Qatar, a nation well-known for its world-class execution of major sporting events. He added that Qatar hosted this event 21 years ago with great success, and now, in the current edition, fans are witnessing remarkable improvements and near-perfect execution, from the quality of the venues and hotels to transportation and logistics. He expressed his hope that this excellence continues through to the conclusion of the tournament, which is shaping up to be one of the most distinguished editions in the history of the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships.
President of the Sudan Table Tennis Federation, Ayman Al Shazly, also praised the seamless organization and warm hospitality extended during the tournament, remarking that this championship is being delivered with exceptional professionalism, a high standard that is expected from Qatar, which has extensive experience in hosting major international events. He noted that the world is witnessing an exceptional edition of the championship, and all Arabs take great pride in Qatar's remarkable and honorable performance on all fronts.
Former President of the Brazilian Table Tennis Confederation (CBTM), Alaor Azevedo, lauded the efforts of the Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA) in delivering a world-class event. Azevedo stated that when Qatar hosts a global championship, it not only succeeds in the organization but also excels in showcasing its rich cultural heritage and traditions. Regarding the nomination of QTTA President Khalil Al Mohannadi for the presidency of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) during the General Assembly meeting following the championship, Azevedo extended his best wishes in the bid, describing Al Mohannadi as one of the most influential figures in the global table tennis community who played a pivotal role in advancing the sport in recent years.
Former President of the Lebanese Table Tennis Federation and current member of the ITTF, Georges Kopaly, echoed similar sentiments, saying that Qatar's excellence in hosting major sporting events is well-established and every tournament it organizes meets the highest international standards. Qatar is the first country in the region to host the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships twice, having first staged the event in 2004.
