Heads of Working Groups from Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council Convene for Economy and Trade Discussions

Doha: The heads of the working groups from the Economy, Trade, and Industry Committee of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council conducted their fourth meeting on Wednesday via videoconference.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was led on the Qatari side by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki. On the Saudi side, it was chaired by HE Deputy Minister for International Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Rakan Tarabzoni. The session was attended by several officials from both Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

The gathering focused on discussing various agenda items, particularly the mechanisms for enhancing trade exchange and facilitating import and export operations between the two nations. The participants also reviewed the progress of joint initiatives, identified the main challenges and obstacles, and explored ways to address these issues. Furthermore, discussions included the committee's forthcoming steps and the necessary recommendations to advance their collaborative efforts.
