Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghabbash, discussed with the Ambassador of India, Dr. Irshad Ahmad, ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in the health field. During a meeting held in the Ministry building on Wednesday, Dr. Al-Ghabbash stressed the strength of ties binding the two countries at all levels, pointing out that India has been supportive of the Syrian health sector, especially since it possesses qualitative medical expertise. Minister of Health stated that Syria seeks more cooperation with India in the field of effective pharmaceutical industries, calling for the exchange of experiences by sending Indian doctors to Syria with the aim of raising scientific and medical competencies and expertise. Dr. Ahmed, in turn, expressed India's readiness to increase bilateral coordination in the field of human cadre training, by sending delegations to India to exchange experiences or attracting experts from India to Syria, with the aim of holding scientific lectures and seminars related to the heal th field, in addition to the possibility of preparing a MoU in the field of scholarship and training courses.
