Doha: The Ministry of Public Health announced today the official working hours in the healthcare sector during the holy month of Ramadan, taking into account the special nature of the month.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that emergency and inpatient services at Hamad Medical Corporation hospitals, including Pediatric Emergency Centers, will operate around the clock, seven days a week. The Primary Health Care Corporation will also provide urgent care services at 12 health centers around the clock, seven days a week.
The Ministry highlighted that government healthcare institutions will announce the detailed working hours for their respective services. Furthermore, the Ministry announced specific working hours for some of its service departments during Ramadan. The Medical Commission Department will function from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, while the Medical Relations and Treatment Abroad Department, located at the Ministry of Public Health building, will be open to visitors from 9 am to 1 pm.
Birth Registration Offices in public and private hospitals will operate in two shifts: a morning shift from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and an evening shift at the Women's Wellness and Research Center from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The Births and Deaths Committee at the Ministry of Public Health will welcome visitors from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. Meanwhile, the Death Registration Unit at the Unified Office for Humanitarian Services will be operational from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Additionally, the Unified Healthcare Contact Center (16000) will continue to operate 24/7 to ensure continuous support and assistance during Ramadan.
