HEBRON - Ma'an - The Governor of Hebron, Khaled Dudin, condemned the blatant and dangerous attack on the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron, where the Israeli occupation forces dared to roof the exposed part of the courtyard of the Ibrahimi Mosque from the usurped section at dawn today, causing a dangerous change to the features of the Ibrahimi Mosque and violating the sanctity of the place, which is considered part of a series of ongoing Israeli violations in the governorate, including the Old City and the Ibrahimi Mosque. Dudin stressed that this attack constitutes a serious violation of the landmarks of the Ibrahimi Mosque, a provocation to the feelings of Muslims, an assault on the freedom of worship there, and a warning of an escalation of the situation in the governorate. He called on international human rights institutions and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to take urgent action to stop these violations and to fulfill their responsibilities, considerin g that the Ibrahimi Mosque has been placed on the World Heritage List.
