Doha: HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani sent cables of condolences to HM King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar and HE Prime Minister Dr. Anwar Ibrahim on the death of former Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

According to Qatar News Agency, the message from HH the Deputy Amir expressed his sympathies to the leadership and people of Malaysia during this time of mourning. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi served as Malaysia's Prime Minister and his contributions to the country were acknowledged in the condolence messages sent by Qatar's leadership.
