Manama, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, inaugurated today the Night Lighting project at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club. The project was implemented in accordance with the highest international quality standards to attract participants from around the globe and to further consolidate the Kingdom's position as a hub for horseracing competitions. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to advancing its equestrian sector, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club has announced that night races will commence starting from the upcoming 2024/2025 season. The upcoming season will mark a significant shift in the Kingdom's horse racing history, expanding the series of races in the fourth edition of the B ahrain Turf Series to include 12 rounds, as well as the sixth edition of the Bahrain International Trophy. In addition, the upcoming season will see an expansion in the number of local races, reflecting the club's commitment to enhancing both local and international competitions and fostering the development of equestrian sport in the Kingdom. It is worth noting that the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club's night lighting project involved the installation of 68 lighting towers, each with a power of 1,000 lux, strategically distributed across various areas of the track. Additionally, the project ensured the provision of the necessary energy to operate the system with high efficiency. These facility developments are designed to provide a distinguished racing environment, enhancing the position of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club as a premier global sports destination.
