Riders of the Royal Endurance Team were overwhelmed with joy following the success of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Team Captain, in adding a new milestone to his achievement-laden career by winning the 160-km race of the Monpazier Endurance Championship in France.
HH Shaikh Nasser confirmed his prowess as he managed to win the Monpazier Endurance Championship, just six months after claiming the World Endurance Championship in Abu Dhabi, riding the same horse, Darco La Majorie.
The Royal Endurance Team jockeys affirmed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa was keen to follow up on the progress of the race over the phone, which motivated HH Shaikh Nasser to finish the race successfully and lift its title.
They took pride in HH Shaikh Nasser’s distinction, noting that the victory is a new success story that reflects HH’s distinguished abilities.
They also asserted that HH Shaikh Nasser is an inspiring jockey from whom they have learnt a lot.
On the other hand, Royal Endurance Team riders, Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Mohammed Abdulsamad Al-Bastaki and Abdulrahman Al-Khatiri, took part in the 100-km race of the Monpazier Endurance Championship, held today with the participation of 96 jockeys from various countries.
Team members will also participate in the 120-km race of the same championship.
