Manama, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty's Representative for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Captain of the Royal Endurance Team, expressed his appreciation for the celebration hosted by His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, in honour of his World Endurance Championship victory in the 160km race held in Monpazier, France. HH Shaikh Nasser praised the officials and media representatives for accepting HH Shaikh Khalid's invitation, highlighting his ongoing commitment to honouring Bahrain's champions across various sports and supporting their pursuit of further achievements to raise Bahrain's name. During the event, HH Shaikh Khalid delivered a speech emphasising that this achievement reflects the support of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the interest of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Pr ince and Prime Minister, in Bahraini endurance sports. HH Shaikh Khalid also commended HH Shaikh Nasser's determination and leadership, which led to his well-deserved championship title. On this occasion, HH Shaikh Khalid presented a gift to HH Shaikh Nasser. The event was attended by ministers, senior officials, and athletes. It included a video showcasing HH Shaikh Nasser's preparation for and participation in the championship, poetry recitals, and a traditional Bahraini "Ardha" performance that delighted the attendees.
