Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani engaged in discussions with HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al Sudani concerning the bilateral relations between Qatar and Iraq.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions took place during a phone call initiated by the Iraqi Prime Minister. The leaders focused on several regional and international developments of mutual concern, with particular emphasis on the Israeli attack on Iranian territories.

HH the Amir and the Iraqi Prime Minister underscored the importance of de-escalation and the resolution of disputes through diplomatic channels.
