HH the Amir and Lebanon’s President Discuss Bilateral Cooperation in Energy, Economy, and Investment

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Lebanon General Joseph Aoun engaged in official talks to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Lebanon. The discussions, which took place at the Amiri Diwan, focused on enhancing collaboration in the fields of energy, economy, and investment.

According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir warmly welcomed the Lebanese President and his delegation, expressing hope that this visit would pave the way for expanded cooperation that aligns with the aspirations of both nations. The Amir emphasized his desire for the discussions to benefit the people of both countries.

HE President Aoun expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended by HH the Amir and reiterated his commitment to fostering closer ties that support mutual interests and contribute to regional stability and development. The talks included discussions on various bilateral issues and the exploration of international matters of mutual concern.

The session was attended by key officials from both sides, including HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and Lebanon's HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raji. The leaders also held a bilateral meeting to address regional and global developments and strengthen efforts towards peace and stability.

To honor the visit, HH the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet for HE the President and his delegation. President Aoun's arrival at the Amiri Diwan was marked by an official reception ceremony.
