Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from HE President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, during which they discussed significant regional issues and bilateral relations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the President of Uzbekistan reiterated his nation's complete solidarity with Qatar in its pursuit of security and stability. He condemned the Iranian aggression, emphasizing that such actions violate international law, the principles of good neighborliness, and the United Nations Charter.

The conversation also included expressions of gratitude from President Mirziyoyev to HH the Amir for the care and safety of Uzbek citizens residing in Qatar. HH the Amir assured that Uzbek citizens, along with all residents, receive full protection and attention in Qatar.

The leaders agreed on the necessity of de-escalation and restraint, highlighting the need for dialogue and diplomatic approaches to resolve conflicts peacefully, aiming to protect regional security and the interests of their peoples.
