Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a session of official talks at the Amiri Diwan with HE President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed Al Sharaa. At the outset, HH the Amir welcomed the Syrian President and his delegation, expressing happiness over His Excellency's first visit to Qatar and hoping for enhanced cooperation between the two countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the President of Syria expressed gratitude and appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality. He emphasized Syria's commitment to developing bilateral relations and enhancing joint coordination to serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.

During the session, discussions focused on bilateral relations and ways to support and develop them, particularly in political and diplomatic fields. They also addressed key regional and international developments, exchanging views on enhancing security and stability in the region.

The session saw the attendance of Qatar's HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, and other senior officials. From the Syrian side, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al Shaibani and members of the official delegation participated.

HH the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of the Syrian President and his delegation.
