Moscow: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in Moscow on an official visit to the Russian Federation. The arrival marks a significant diplomatic engagement between Qatar and Russia, with the Amir being welcomed at Vnukovo International Airport by a host of Russian officials.
According to Qatar News Agency, the welcoming delegation included HE First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, HE Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and North Africa and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov, HE Advisor to the Russian President and Special Representative for the Middle East in charge of International Transport Cooperation Igor Levitin, and HE Chairman of the State Duma International Affairs Committee Leonid Slutsky. Also present were HE Qatar's Ambassador to Russia Sheikh Ahmed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Russian Ambassador to Qatar Dmitry Dogadkin, and members of the Qatari Embassy.
An official reception ceremony was held to honor HH the Amir's arrival. Accompanying HH the Amir on this visit are HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, along with an official delegation. The visit is expected to further strengthen the relations between the two nations.
