Muscat: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani arrived in Muscat for a state visit to the Sultanate of Oman. His arrival was marked by a reception at the Royal Private Airport, where HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq led the well-wishers to greet the Qatari leader. According to Qatar News Agency, several prominent Omani officials were present to welcome HH the Amir. These included HH Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said, HE Minister of Diwan of Royal Court Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, HE Minister of Royal Office General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nomani, HE Minister of Interior Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal Al Busaidi, and HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi. The reception also included HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Al-Thani and HE Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, along with members of Qatar's embassy. Notably, HH the Amir's plan e received a ceremonial escort by a squadron of Royal Air Force of Oman aircraft as it entered Omani airspace, a gesture signifying the importance of the visit. HH the Amir is accompanied by an official delegation, underlining the significance of the state visit in reinforcing bilateral relations between Qatar and Oman.
