His advocacy centers on the two-state solution principle, advocating for an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital. According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir's message was delivered during an event by the United Nations Office in Vienna to mark the "International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People." The message was presented by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Austria, Jassim Yacoub Al Hammadi. HH the Amir underscored the heightened significance of solidarity with the Palestinian people amidst the ongoing collective punishment and war impacting civilians, infrastructure, and essential services. HH the Amir condemned the obstruction of humanitarian aid and the forcible displacement of Palestinians, labeli ng these actions as violations of international humanitarian law. He reinforced the importance of standing against injustice and affirming the Palestinian right to a dignified life and self-determination. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza and its spillover into the West Bank and Lebanon were highlighted, stressing the urgent need for a ceasefire. Furthermore, HH the Amir reiterated Qatar's commitment to mediating an agreement to end the violence and criticized the international community's failure to enforce laws protecting Palestinian rights. He condemned repeated assaults on Al-Aqsa Mosque and any attempts to alter the status quo of sanctities in occupied East Jerusalem. Qatar's role in supporting the Palestinian people through economic, humanitarian, and political means was emphasized by HH the Amir. He announced an increased contribution to UNRWA and a pledge of USD100 million to support humanitarian efforts. HH the Amir concluded by expressing appreciation for the United Nations and its efforts, especi ally UNRWA, in supporting Palestinian refugees. He acknowledged the vital role of the UNRWA in providing essential services and called for continued international support for the Palestinian people's rights.
