Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with HE Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Ali Larijani at the Amiri Diwan. The meeting took place on Wednesday during Dr. Larijani's visit to Qatar.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on the cooperation relations between Qatar and Iran, exploring avenues to support and strengthen these ties. Both parties also addressed regional developments, emphasizing efforts to mitigate tensions and bolster regional security. Additionally, the dialogue covered several regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The meeting saw the participation of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, and several senior Qatari officials. On the Iranian side, HE Deputy Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Dr. Ali Bagheri, HE Assistant Foreign Minister Alibek, and other senior officials were present.
