Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met at his office in Lusail Palace on Wednesday with HE President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his accompanying delegation. The meeting dealt with the latest developments in Ukraine, especially the efforts of the international community to stop the fighting and protect civilians, and keep all channels of communication open to resolve the crisis through dialogue and diplomatic means, in addition to discussing bilateral relations between the two countries and prospects for strengthening them. His Excellency the Ukrainian President also thanked HH the Amir for the State of Qatar's efforts for reuniting Ukrainian children with their families in Ukraine, as part of its ongoing mediation aimed at reuniting families separated by the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani; HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani; and HE Minister of State for Inter national Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khaterattended the meeting along with a lineup of senior officials. On the Ukrainian side, the meeting was attended by HE Ambassador of Ukraine Andrii Kuzmenko and senior officials members of the official accompanying delegation. HH the Amir and the Ukrainian President held a bilateral meeting during which they discussed the overall cooperation relations between the two countries, in addition to discussing a host of issues of common concern.
