Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with HE President of the Republic of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, along with his delegation, at the Amiri Diwan on Monday morning. The Colombian delegation is currently visiting the State of Qatar to discuss and enhance the relationship between the two nations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions during the meeting centered on strengthening and developing bilateral relations across various fields. The leaders also addressed key regional and international developments and examined a range of topics of mutual interest.

The meeting was attended by several distinguished officials. On the Qatari side, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, and HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, were present, along with other senior officials. Representing Colombia, the meeting included HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio Mape, and HE Minister of Energy and Mines, Edion Palma Egea, as well as members of the official delegation accompanying HE the President.
