HH the Amir Receives Support from Malaysian Prime Minister Amid Tensions

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a significant phone call from HE the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr. Anwar Ibrahim, reiterating Malaysia's support for Qatar in light of recent regional tensions.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the conversation, the Malaysian Prime Minister affirmed his country's steadfast solidarity with Qatar and strongly condemned the Iranian attack on Al-Udeid Air Base. The attack is perceived as a blatant violation of Qatari sovereignty and airspace, as well as a breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Furthermore, Dr. Anwar Ibrahim emphasized Malaysia's firm position against any aggression that threatens Qatar's security and stability, urging HH the Amir to remain restrained and seek diplomatic avenues for resolution. In response, HH the Amir expressed his gratitude for Malaysia's support and solidarity with the people of Qatar during this challenging period.
