HH the Amir Restructures Qatar Free Zones Authority Board

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has issued Amiri Decision No. 13 of 2025, which restructures the Board of Directors of the Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ). This strategic move emphasizes leadership roles and aims to enhance the operations and governance of the QFZ.

According to Qatar News Agency, the decision outlines the new composition of the QFZ Board, appointing HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani as the chairperson and HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani as the vice chairperson. The restructured board will also include HE Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, HE Akbar Al Baker, HE Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, HE Mohammed Hassan Al Malki, Sheikh Ali bin Al Waleed Al-Thani, Yousuf Mohamed Al Jaida, alongside a representative from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Furthermore, it grants the Prime Minister the authority to appoint additional experienced and qualified members to the board.

The decision is set to take effect immediately upon issuance and mandates its publication in the official gazette, ensuring transparency and accessibility to the public.
