Doha: The events of HH the Amir Sword Equestrian Festival unequivocally reflect the gracious care the equestrian sports are receiving from the judicious leadership of the State of Qatar, not merely as races, but as much as a time-honored part of the Qatari national identity fabric, President of the Qatar Equestrian and Modern Pentathlon Federation (QEMPF) Badr Al Darwish told Qatar News Agency (QNA).

According to Qatar News Agency, Al Darwish added that this year's edition drew a record turnout, along with suspenseful contests on the turf, with purebred Arabian horses shining in shows that blended high sportsmanship with the incredible Qatari organization that professionally administered the events.

The scenes of these events typically demonstrated the traditions of forefathers and forebears at this festival, whose name has been eternal in the depth of the Qatari heritage, combining the authenticity of the past and the shining present, he noted.

Al Darwish applauded the wide participation of various organizational panels and curators domestically and internationally, considering these combined efforts as the successful way to have sustainable championships.

Qatar would continue to maintain its enduring footprints as an indispensable regional and global hub on the international equestrian map, Al Darwish underlined.

Concluding his remarks, Al Darwish asserted that this year's festival had gone far beyond merely a domestic sporting event to remain a global platform that showcases Qatari magnanimity and hospitality, along with Doha's aspirations to be at the pinnacle of the global sports scene, especially in a sport that combines authenticity with decent competition.
