Al shaqab: The Organizing Committee of HH the Father Amir Equestrian Prix 2026 held a press conference on Saturday at Al Shaqab, revealing the key numbers and statistics of the championship on the margins of the final round of the fourth leg held at Longines Arena, Al Shaqab.
According to Qatar News Agency, Sheikh Talal bin Khalid Al-Thani, Assistant Director of the Championship, spoke at the press conference alongside the top three riders in the Grand Prix / Five-Star category. Sheikh Talal affirmed that the championship witnessed high artistic and technical standards, reflecting the advanced status achieved by the Doha Equestrian Tour in its renewed edition. He emphasized that it cemented its position as a comprehensive global platform that not only focuses on sporting competition but also contributes to the development of the equestrian system in Qatar and the region.
Sheikh Talal explained that the total value of prizes for the Doha Equestrian Tour exceeded EUR 10 million. The event successfully organized over 100 competitions and hosted more than 50 officials from the International Equestrian Federation, representing countries from around the world. He attributed this success to the high sportsmanship, meticulous planning, and outstanding teamwork that accompanied the event, confirming Qatar's ability to organize and host major tournaments according to the highest international standards.
British rider Scott Brash, who clinched first place in the Grand Prix / Five-Star category at 160 cm, expressed his great happiness at the victory. He praised the excellent organization and hospitality extended by the organizers, affirming that the atmosphere was ideal and the competitions were at the highest level.
French rider M©gane Moissonnier, who achieved second place, shared her immense admiration for the championship. She noted that participating in this Prix was a distinctive experience both technically and organizationally.
Swiss rider Nadja Peter Steiner, who secured third place, confirmed that the championship is one of the most successful show-jumping events she has participated in. She expressed her delight at achieving this position in highly competitive contests that included the elite of the world's top riders.
