Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received today several senior officials at Al Safriya Palace. The senior officials included Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF); His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander; His Highness Colonel Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Guard Special Force Commander; Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff of BDF; and Colonel Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. The meeting discussed local matters aimed at advancing national action and the country's development and progress. At the onset of the meeting, HM King Hamad commended the positive and successful participation of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who, on behalf of HM the King, led Bahrain's delegation at the 79th United Nations General Assembly. His Majesty also commended address delivered by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister during the General Assembly. Furthermore, HM King Hamad commended the efforts of the armed forces and public security officers in serving the nation and maintaining its security. HM the King highlighted their national role in strengthening the spirit of national belonging, their sacrifices, and their efforts to safeguard the nation's achievements, unity, and the safety of citizens and residents in Bahrain. HM King Hamad expressed confidence in their preparedness to fulfil their noble national duties with utmost dedication. HM the King underscored the importance of de-escalation in the region and intensifying efforts for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and preserving the sovereignty of the Republic of Lebanon. HM King Hamad called for continued efforts to establish a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, ensuring security and stability, and halting escalation for the benefit of all. HM the King reiterated Bahrain's support for all efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and peace at the regional and international levels. Moreover, HM King Hamad expressed pride in the unity of the people of Bahrain, highlighting their sense of fraternity, solidarity, and awareness of the shared responsibility in consolidating the foundations of the nation's progress and contributing to the success of its development process.
