Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (57) of 2024, restructuring the Board of Trustees of the Health Insurance Fund, based on the nomination of the Supreme Council of Health, the proposal of the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet. Article I The Board of Trustees of the Health Insurance Fund shall be restructured and chaired by the President of the Supreme Council of Health. It consists of the following members: 1. Minister of Finance and National Economy, vice chairperson. 2. Minister of Labour, member. 3. Minister of Health, member. 4. Minister of Cabinet Affairs, member. 5. Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, member. 6. Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Social Insurance Organisation (SIO), member. 7. Supreme Council of Health Secretary General, member. 8. Marwan Khaled Tabbara, member. The term of membership for those other than the chairperson and the members mentioned in clauses (1) to (3) of the previous paragraph shall be four years, and the vice chairperson shall replace the chairperson in the event of absence or impediment. Article II The Prime Minister and Ministers, - each in their capacity - shall implement this decree, which will be effective upon its issuance, and be published in the Official Gazette.
