His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Royal Decree (81) of 2023, amending some provisions of Decree (7) of 2023 on restructuring the Ministry of Foreign Affair, based on the proposal of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
According to the decree, the texts of Paragraphs 7 and 8 of Article I of Decree (7) of 2023 on restructuring the ministry shall be replaced with the following:
Seventh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Political Affairs, who oversees:
1- Director General of International Cooperation (at the rank of Assistant Undersecretary), who oversees:
a- Chief of Al Madar Centre
b- Chief of the Organisations Sector
2- Director General of Bilateral Relations
(at the rank of Assistant Undersecretary), who oversees:
a- Chief of the Asian and Pacific Ocean Affairs Sector
b- Chief of the Arab and African Affairs Sector
c- Chief of the European Affairs Sector
d- Chief of the Americas' Affairs Sector
e- Chief of the GCC Affairs Sector
Eighth: Undersecretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs, who oversees:
1- Chief of the Consular Services Sector
2- The Directorate of Planning and Projects
3- The Directorate of Information Systems
4- Director General for Financial and Administrative Affairs
(at the rank of Assistant Undersecretary), who oversees:
a- The Directorate of Human Resources
b- The Directorate of Financial Resources
c- The Directorate of Administrative Affairs
The Minister of Foreign Affairs shall implement this decree, which takes immediate effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
