Moscow, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received today His Eminence Sheikh Al Islam Talaat Safa Taj Al Din, the Grand Mufti of Russia and Chairman of the Central Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Russia. The meeting came on the sidelines of HM the King's official visit to the Russian Federation. HM King Hamad highlighted the bilateral relations between the two countries and the advanced cooperation on various levels. HM the King commended the efforts of HE the Grand Mufti in promoting the values of coexistence, dialogue, and moderation, and for spreading the authentic teachings of Islam, which advocate for tolerance and reject terrorism and extremism in all its forms. HM the King expressed pride in Bahrain's commitment to religious freedom, emphasising the kingdom's longstanding global reputation in promoting the values of tolerance, coexistence, and peace among religions. For his part, HE the Grand Mufti hailed HM the King's efforts in serving cause of importance to Islam and Muslims, highlighting HM the King's humanitarian initiatives aimed at promoting peace, tolerance, coexistence and rejecting extremism.
