HM King receives senior officials, reviews development efforts

Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, and Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today at Al Sakhir Palace. The meeting discussed local matters and reviewed ongoing efforts to advance comprehensive development process within the Kingdom to achieve national objectives. HM King Hamad emphasised the importance of the outcomes of the recent meeting between His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Excellency Sir Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. HM the King highlighted the meeting's role in further strengthening relations between the two kingdoms across various sectors. HM King Hamad expressed pride in Bahrain's civilisational achievements, attributing them to the dedication of its citizens, who continue to demonstrate their ability to excel, innovate, and compete regionally and internationally. HM King Hamad also thanked those who congratulated him on the McLaren team winning first-place at the Dutch Grand Prix in the Formula 1 World Championship, noting that this international achievement further enhances Bahrain's distinguished status and reputation in the global sports arena, particularly in motor racing. Regarding the ongoing developments in the Middle East and the emerging regional and international situations, HM the King emphasised the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza to alleviate the humanitarian suffering, end the escalation, and prevent the conflict from expanding further in the region. HM the King underscored the necessity of establishing a political solution to achieve a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace, which includes securing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of their independent state based on the two-state solution, as this is essential for ensuring a secure future for the region's peoples and maintaining regional security and peace.
