Chairman of the Bahrain Journalists’ Association (BJA), Isa Al-Shaiji, has extended sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, for congratulating him and BJA board members on their election for BJA’s 2023-2025 session.
He also praised HM the King's constant care for the press, journalists, intellectuals and media persons, leading to an unprecedented press and media renaissance, under HM King Hamad’s prosperous era.
"I am honoured to extend deepest gratitude to HM the King, on behalf of the Bahraini press and media community, for HM’s remarkable stances in enabling the press and media to play their role to the fullest in the blessed renaissance march spearheaded by His Majesty," BJA chief said.
He lauded HM King Hamad’s constant keenness to deliver a message during the annual World Press Freedom Day in which HM expresses thanks and appreciation to Bahraini journalists, expressing the pride of the press and media community in Bahrain in such a kind royal gesture.
Al-Shaiji asserted that the Bahraini press community places the royal directives to focus on credibility and obtain correct information from official sources to avoid false and misleading news at the top of its priorities.
He also reiterated BJA’s keenness to implement the royal directives with regard to developing journalistic and media work, laying the foundations for free, impartial and objective discourse, instilling the concepts of loyalty and belonging to the homeland, and protecting the right to knowledge.
He pledged to HM the King that BJA, in particular, and the press and media community, in general, will play their full role in the comprehensive development process, by protecting the nation’s achievements and gains.
