Beijing, Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, met with He Zhenwei, President of the China Overseas Development Association (CODA), in Beijing. Minister Al-Rumaihi commended the successful partnerships between Bahrain and China and outlined key initiatives by the Ministry to provide social housing services through housing finance programmes and land development rights in collaboration with the private sector and complete projects in housing cities. Investment opportunities in Bahrain were highlighted, emphasising the role of the private sector in providing housing services and building successful partnerships with major Chinese companies in this field. The meeting also reviewed facilities provided by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce for industrial development, especially in housing related industries. Opportunities for investment in various developmental projects in Bahrain, including strategic projects managed by Bahrain Real Estate Investment Company (Edamah), were dis cussed. CODA's President expressed the association's interest in Bahrain's experience in providing social housing, especially through new private sector partnerships. He also showed interest in investment opportunities in Bahrain's developmental and industrial sectors, affirming the association's commitment to supporting Chinese companies' investment in these projects. The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to continue periodic meetings, aiming to build on existing cooperation for more fruitful Bahrain-China partnerships in housing and industry, benefiting both nations. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Ghassan Sheikho, Bahrain's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China; Christopher Calvert, CEO of Edamah; Balsam Al Salman, Assistant Undersecretary for Housing Services at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning; Khalid Salman Al Qasimi, the Director of Industrial Areas Development, and several officials from both sides.
