Manama, The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, in collaboration with Eskan Bank, hosted a workshop to review the progress of the government lands right development programme. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, highlighted the ministry's efforts to enhance the programme, under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The initiative aims to allocate government lands for development by real estate companies in Bahrain, to improve housing services for citizens. The minister emphasised the programme's role in strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors, noting the success of the Suhail housing project in Al Lawzi, where all units were sold to beneficiaries of housing finance programmes. She also highlighted the construction of 131 housing units in Salman City, led by Delmon Gate Company. She announced that bids for new projects in Buhair and Hawrat Sanad will be launched before the e nd of the year. The workshop featured presentations on the programme's development since its inauguration and highlighted the flexibility offered to developers and the contractor qualification process. The Eskan Bank also introduced its Baity platform, which allows developers to showcase their projects while enabling citizens to explore various housing options. Further presentations covered regulatory procedures, Al Salam Bank's financing solutions, and Bahrain Kuwait Insurance Company (GIG Bahrain) insurance coverage to ensure project guarantees. The event concluded with discussions on current and future policies to expand the programme to meet the government's housing objectives and fulfil citizens' aspirations for quality housing.
