Manama, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), congratulated Sonya Mohammed Janahi, member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), on her appointment as a Titular Member of the Governing Body of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Vice President of the International Organisation of Employers in Asia. She is the first Arab businesswoman to hold this position since the organisation's establishment. Her Royal Highness regarded this achievement as a new testament to the accomplishments of Bahraini women across various domians, demonstrating confidence in their capabilities on a global scale. Her Royal Highness added that it also indicated Janahi's capacity to compete, expressing confidence in her ability to make significant contributuions and to represent the high calibre of Bahraini women.
