Rabat, The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO) urged investment in youth capabilities, providing them with tools to develop their professional skills for contributing to economic growth. In a statement marking World Youth Skills Day, ICESCO highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the role of youth in building a bright future, the need for skill development, and leveraging their potential to enhance sustainable development. ICESCO called for intensified international and regional efforts, cooperation with civil society, universities, and technical and vocational training institutions. Initiatives include the "ICESCO Youth Year" youth training programmes for starting small tech and innovation projects, the International Summit on Entrepreneurship, workshops on educational satellite design, climate leadership training camps, and peace and security leadership programmes.
