Manama, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce, highlighted the strong historical trade and investment ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, driven by their shared commitment to enhancing economic cooperation. He spoke as a keynote speaker at a luncheon hosted by the Bahraini-British Business Forum. The luncheon was attended by Alistair Long, British Ambassador to Bahrain, and Khalid Rashid Al Zayani, the Forum Chairman. The minister highlighted Bahrain's role as a business gateway in the region. He noted that Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030 sets a clear path for a diversified, sustainable economy focused on innovation, investment, and international partnerships, while the Economic Vision 2050 reflects the Kingdom's future aspirations for continued economic growth. He also emphasised Bahrain's commitment to investing in technology to lead in digital transformation, drawing attention to the UK's experience in this field. He noted Bahrain's efforts to expand facilities and create a business-friendly environment to attract more foreign investment, reinforcing its position as a key destination for international companies.
