The US US Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence welcomed the Interior Minister’s visit to the United States, highlighting its significance in further developing the longstanding ties between the two countries and broadening avenues of cooperation.
The Interior Minister asserted Bahrain’s dedication to fostering an environment conducive to peaceful coexistence and promoting peace in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He hailed the vital and strategic ties between Bahrain and the United States, citing their joint efforts to reinforce regional stability, international security, and peace.
He noted the importance of developing expertise exchange mechanisms as the foundation for reinforcing cooperation and addressing challenges to serve the interests of both friendly countries.
The two sides reviewed various strategic topics, security challenges, and the necessary promotion of security cooperation and coordination to tackle them efficiently.
In the same context, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a high-ranking and influential research institution in decision-making in the United States, organised a panel discussion with Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The event was held on the sideline of the minister’s visit to the United States, focusing on security cooperation between the two countries.

The Executive Director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, Robert Satlof, welcomed the Interior Minister, highlighting the importance of the visit in promoting ties between the two countries.
After that, the Interior Minister hailed the strategic partnership between Bahrain and the United States, as well as the development of cooperation and exchange of expertise between them to improve the capabilities of security agencies in tackling developments in organised and transnational crime.
He reviewed ways to exchange experiences and information, as well as take adequate measures to address various security threats within the framework of joint efforts to promote regional stability and protect international peace and security, indicating that among the security challenges are combating and containing organised crime, drones and cyber-attacks.
He affirmed the importance of benefiting from modern technology, cooperation and exchanging expertise and information to promote security and stability.
The panel discussion tackled various security topics and efforts to maintain regional security.
